Kate Alexander founded Alexander Communications to bring her strong all rounder  public relations skills to the marketplace, propelled by her trademark media savvy and multi-skilled team.

While she has particular expertise in issues and crisis management, she has led many campaigns in all communications spheres including professional services, finance & property, retail and consumer as well as business to business.

A former South African Broadcast Corporation journalist, Kate Alexander has more than 18 years’ public relations experience in New Zealand, South Africa and the US. Kate has worked for several large, JSE-listed companies and on landmark SA projects such as the launch of the first McDonald’s and the first democratic elections.

Kate has invested her entire career into understanding how to use public relations strategically to grow your business and reputation and has adapted to each wave of change. Kate embraces the opportunities that new media and online PR brings to clients and is leading from the front in this area.

As national director of the STWS Communications – Africa’s largest PR consultancy – Kate led a team of national consultants before immigrating to New Zealand in 2001, where she held senior roles in two public relations consultancies before founding Alexander Communications in 2005.
